Default Henchmen, dead forever.. er sortof.

If there wasn't another reason not to bring henchmen in pvp, now after they get 60% dealth penalty they won't come back... at least thats what the update said. I can only pray they don't do that in pve... that would be so awful

Uhm. The reason behind them staying dead now is simply consistency. When you're fighing in a GVG Battle and someone hits 60 DP, he is "dp'ed out" and won't be automatically ressed.
Just like it is with Henchmen now. This update is purely PVP and won't affect PVE at all. Or did you ever experience someone staying dead at 60 DP in PVE? Minus the occasional rune miscalculation that is.

Well, the pet Dp thing was supposed to be PvP and now it's PvE. Considering how ridiculously overpowered the monsters are in PvE and how little you can control your pets in terms of movements, pets are now obsolete in PvE.

The same goes for henchmen. If it starts in PvP it'll spread to PvE.

....Did you read what Amity said?

REAL players with 60dp in PvP will not get any autometic rezzing. And this is nothing new at all. The henchmen update is just to give them that same behavior.

It has nothing to do with PvE.

There is no DP for oets in PvE. ANet backed it out over a week ago, and has publicly commited (over on GWOnline) to keeping pet DP out of PvE until other improvements are made in pet skills and control.

Would be nice of them to take it out of PvP for the same reason.

I have read this in game, but i havent really tested it out, some npc maybe it was that res on in the isle of nameless says:

that at unmanned res shrines.
Will NOT res you at 60%DP Only skills will be able to res you then.Im gonna go check this ill let you know

(the one in pre-searing right outside ascalon is manned cause theres a monk there ,most of the other ones in game arent so those are un-manned)

I think it's fitting that if you want to have a pet, you should be commited
taking care of it instead of using it like a tool.

Without controls, pets are nothing more than tools. When we get pet controls, sure, give them DP, you will be able to manage them.
